Where The Cauliflowers Grew
By Ben Kernow
Times are changing in Nuremburg. There's talk of witches, bandits and all manner of depravity lurking within the city walls. Worst of all Frantz Schmidt, the city's executioner, has been lumped with a new assistant. With pressure mounting from the political elite, will this new assistant have the stomach for his new job and position in society?
Ideals clash before the backdrop of the ancient gallows where intrigue and subterfuge will connect those at the top with those in the mud. Amidst the witch craze sweeping the nation, will anyone escape unscathed?
Funny and thought provoking in equal measure, two actors bring to life a plethora of factual and fictional characters from the depths of medieval Nuremburg and its notorious gallows. From the imperious clerical heads to the disgruntled old farmer and a host of foul-mouthed locals in between.
